  • We anticipate that Drivers for Survivors is going to be a big asset to the Washington Hospital oncology patients. We are already hearing about the benefits from those that have utilized the service during their pilot program. Patients are commenting how much they like the Drivers for Survivors' volunteers and the level of service they are receiving. The element that sets Drivers for Survivors apart is how DFS is about building support networks and companionship throughout their treatments. This is a very human approach to a real need. We are excited to watch them grow.

  • Life can be overwhelming when someone you love has cancer.  Knowing that a caring, compassionate and reliable person is there to ensure your loved one arrives to their treatments and back home safe is absolutely priceless.  Thank you to Drivers for Survivors for making life better for everyone affected by cancer.

  • Being diagnosed with cancer can turn a person's life upside down. Getting to and from cancer treatment is often one of the most difficult challenges, especially for folks who are elderly or disabled or those without extended family support. Drivers for Survivors is working to provide a critical service for cancer patients by providing compassionate, caring volunteers to take people to their lifesaving and life-sustaining treatments. We hope to see this program fully launched in 2013 and encourage community support.

  • My experience was great and I met up with the nicest person I have ever met, Margo. It is hard to believe there are such wonderful, caring, and giving people - but it's true there are. I want to do something to give back to this organization in their true spirit of giving.

  • The community works best when we all come together. Those with cancer are strong-willed members of our society. Despite their illness, they strive to live for another day. Drivers for Survivors allows the community at large to help those afflicted with this disease by giving them the chance to live a life of normalcy again.

    Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski
    State of California, Twenty-fifth District

  • The driver I was lucky enough to have quickly became friends. The whole experience was wonderfully satisfactory. God bless them all.

  • If I had trouble, everyone has trouble. I had 1-2 times when I really needed to be at work and Johnathan really needed to be taken in for treatment and brought home — this would have been a God-sent back up for a harried SINGLE parent.
